Hi, I’m Stephanie Godinez, the founder and Sentimental Curator behind Spoken Mementos.
I started this work because I believe the quiet, personal moments in life deserve to be held onto. The smell of your childhood kitchen. A worn photo of your grandfather. A letter from someone you miss. Even the way your dog greeted you at the door every day. These pieces of memory matter, and I help turn them into something lasting.
At Spoken Mementos, I create custom keepsakes that blend written stories with meaningful visuals including photos, recipes, scent notes, handwriting, even pieces of fabric. Whether it’s a celebration, a goodbye, or just a feeling you don’t want to forget, I help preserve it in a way that feels grounded and personal.
I hold a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MLIS) and draw from my background in archiving and storytelling to guide the process with care. Everything is written and designed by me, one-on-one with you.
If you’re wondering what a Sentimental Curator actually does, keep reading below.
Thank you for trusting me with your memories.

What Is a Sentimental Curator?
To me, being a Sentimental Curator means helping preserve meaningful memories that are not just facts and dates, but the feelings behind them.
Through personal interviews, handwritten letters, scent notes, photos, and keepsakes, I take the fragments that matter most and shape them into lasting tributes. That might be a single-page framed story, a small memory booklet, or a longer legacy book.
I draw from my background in Library Science and my deep respect for personal history to do this work with care, holding space for the small, powerful moments that don’t always make it into a photo album, but still need to be remembered.
Whether you're remembering a loved one, marking a milestone, or preserving a memory that means everything, this work is about honoring the heart behind the story.
